Minutes of a  meeting of Blofield Parish Council  held on Tuesday 3rd August 2004 in The Courthouse at 7.30p.m.

Chairman welcomed members of the public and explained council procedure to them.

2558 OPEN FORUM

The Chairman welcomed P.C.Marshall who gave us an update on crime in the Parish and explained how the speeding checks were proceeding. P.C.Marshall then left the meeting.

 

2559  MINUTES  of the parish council meeting held on 22nd June and Planning meeting held on July 21st 2004 were confirmed and signed by the Chairman as being  true records.- All agreed.

 

2560  MATTERS ARISING

Blofield Court House (Minute 2550)

Improvements nearly complete, ramp very effective, lift yet to be installed. Chairman extended thanks to Cllrs. Braithewaite, Tetlow and Murphy for their valuable contributions and time.

 

Church Maintenance.(Minute 2550)

Hedge now cut and looking very tidy. Mr. Sowerby to check on stump bordering Mrs. Hall property. If confirmed that no new growth has appeared, Clerk to inform Mrs. Hall that no further action will be taken for the moment.

 

Flooding – Mill Road . (Minute 2520)

Reply received from Norfolk County Council stating that they could find no evidence of flooding. Cllr to check after next heavy rainfall and report back to the clerk.

 

Kings Head Car Park – Sign

District Councillor David Ward to liase with authorities at Broadland District Council.

 

Blofield Charities

Reports now received from Blofield Fuel Charity for 2004.

Reports also received from The Reve Educational Foundation and Blofield Relief-in-Need Charity.

2564  ANY OTHER BUSINESS – FUTURE ITEMS FOR AGENDA

 

Mrs Dawson had received a complaint regarding drain cover lifted and further subsidence in area Lower Globe Lane . This had been subject to subsidence previously. Clerk to contact.

Mr. Sowerby reported problem with footpath by Margaret Harker Hall and advised the council that during the coming year a wedding had been planned with the intention of walking to the Church. Council to check nearer the time.

Mr. Tetlow mentioned about the kissing gate and a garden extension.

 

There being no further business the Chairman thanked everyone for coming and closed the meeting at 9.05pm .
