We have received none other than copy of the Minutes and telephone call informing us that the 5 week consultation period was completed.

2574  MINUTES  of the parish council meeting held on 3rd August  were confirmed and signed by the Chairman as being a true record.- Proposed Mrs. Butler and Seconded Mr. Murphy.

2575  MATTERS ARISING

Blofield Court House (Minute 2560)

Cllr Braithwaite confirmed that the lift was being installed between 8am and 12noon on Friday 17th September 2004 .

Cllr Dawson reported that the raised  Drain cover and reported subsidence had been attended to.

Church Maintenance.(Minute 2560)

Cllr Sowerby reported that there was no new growth on the stump and Mrs. Hall has been informed that no further treatment is required.

Cllr Rose had talked with various  members of the Parochial Church Council regarding wall repairs. Railings were definitely frowned upon. Various suggestions put forward – all would be very expensive with no guarantees of success. Mrs Rose will arrange a meeting with Mr. Coverdale, who has the expertise of conservation of Church Walls and Mrs. Butler, Mr. Sowerby and Mr. Braithewaite to attend if convenient.

Also ask for his opinion on the area of wall near Mrs. Hall property and give a rough estimate. We will then try and see whether any grants are available.

Flooding – Mill Road . (Minute 2560)

Still no results.

Kings Head Car Park (Minute 2560)

Our understanding is that the Car Park owned by the Parish Council is being asphalted and re-marked

and discussions are taking place with owners of the remaining area. Signs are hopeful.

Bus Shelters.(Minute 2563)

Cllr Murphy went along to check the complaint from resident and confirmed that when the Contractors asphalted the floor, they moved the bench seat out, withoput unscrewing it, asphalted the floor and stood the  seat back in, leaving the very sharp supports protruding through the asphalt. Thus apart from the indentations, makes it very difficult for the cleaners to effectively carry out their work. Plus puddles are forming on the floor. Whilst the Contractors were not asked to carry out this work, it is understood that when they asphalted the footway it would have resulted in it being higher than the floor of the shelter. Clerk to enquire from Norfolk County County Council regarding  a remedy.

Cllr D. Ward arrives at the meeting 8.55pm .
