Minutes of meeting of Blofield Parish Council held on Tuesday 12th April 2005 at Margaret Harker Hall at 7.30p.m.
2632 PRESENT Mrs. S. Rose (Chairman) Mr. Sowerby (Vice Chairman) Mrs. G. Butler, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Braithewaite, Mr.
Buffini, Mr. Tetlow ,Mrs Dawson and Mrs D.R.Wyatt (Clerk) and one parishioner.
Chairman welcomed Councillors and members of the public.
2633 APOLOGIES Mr. D. Ward and Mr. Clabburn. Also County Councillor Mr. C. Mowle.

2636 OPEN FORUM Suspend Standing Orders.
Parishioner declared concern regarding the Garden Farm development. Many containers and marquees on site etc. District Councillor has discussed this with the Enforcement Officer and together they will inspect the site. No replies or acknowledgements to letters forwarded to Broadland District Council have been received by residents to date.

2637 MINUTES The minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 1 st March 2005 were agreed to be a true record and duly signed. Proposed by Mrs. G. Butler and seconded by Mr.
B,Murphy. Unanimous decision.
. 2638 MATTERS ARISING Blofield Court. House (Minute 2621) The quotations for the work to the Car Park are not yet to hand. Some internal decoration is required, entertainments licence had been applied for and there was nothing further to report.
Church Maintenance. (Minute 2621) Mr. Murphy, Mrs Butler and Mrs Rose met with Mr. Telford to discuss the work required and a quotation has been received. This was discussed and whilst it was a very competitive quotation the Council agreed to offer the work to Mr. Coverdale subject to Mr. Murphy discussing one or two points.
Proposed by Mr Sowerby and seconded by Mrs. G. Butler. Unanimous decision.
P.C.Marshall arrives 7.45pm.
P.C.Marshall asked if replies had been received about the "minute man" or prices for "optic signs". Clerk replied none had been received as yet although we had received
a" ball park" figure from Mr. Mowle of £3000 (good electricity) up to £6000 (bad electricity) He explained that persons were congregating at Heathland and stated that he would forward to the Clerk copies of "monitoring forms" which could be completed under the ABOS system.
There had been one further burglaries since his last report and on hearing of two recent burglaries suggested this figure would be three.
It was agreed by P.C.Marshall and the Council that not enough communication had been made regarding traffic flows, once the houses at Little Plumstead Hospital site are occupied. The volume of through traffic is up now.
The new inspector has been informed of the date set for the Annual meeting of the Parish Council and it is hoped that he will attend.

Traffic - The Street.(Mlnute 2620) It would appear that we will have to be patient and await replies.
Kings Head Car Park (Minute 2610) As District Councillor Ward had been dealing with this and was away tonight, there is nothing to report.
Bus Shelters. (Minute 2621) Clerk has contacted Stealth Explorer Unit who are willing to decorate both shelters in exchange for a donation to their fund raising. Mr. Murphy will collect 2 x 5 litres magnolia masonry paint and deliver to Mrs.Jolly.
A contact for Venture Scouts was found but they did not respond.
Hedge at Danesbower Rd and Fox Lane.(Minute 2626) Mr. Braithewaite has taken photographs with car parked and is awaiting development of film.
Gates by Dr. Miller's (Minute 2564) Mr. Tetfow stated that this work is nearing the top of the list.
NORFOLK RURAL COMMUNITY COUNCIL -AFFORDABLE HOUSING (Minute 2610) Introductory letter received from Mike Cramp Rural Housing Enabler who is replacing Melissa Adcock whilst on leave.

E-mail received from pc Marshall regarding speed checks North Street, Blofield. Mrs. Rose attended discussion at Heathlands regarding new licencing. No answer available as yet.
Mrs Dawson reported that a complaint had been received from resident regarding persons blocking the entrance to her private drive when arriving at Hemblington School. Some days they cannot get out at all.
CUr Ward to be contacted (School Governor) This has caused distress and the Clel was requested to contact Highways and Police at Acle requesting they kindly monitor the situation.
Next meeting date May 24th - Annual meeting of the Parish Council preceded by the Annual Parish Meeting at 7.00p.m.
