2685  OPEN FORUM

Suspend Standing Orders for P.C.Bassham’s report.

P.C.Bassham reported that for the month of May 33 calls had been received and 5 crimes reported. The month of June brought 35 calls and 10 crimes reported. Clerk requested copies to be forwarded. Concern expressed regarding mini motorbikes and P.C.Bassham confirmed that these were being investigated. Anti Social Behaviour Order (ASBO) forms given to Clerk to forward to any parishioner that requests them. P.C.Bassham asked whether it was possible for the police to add weight to the highways problem regarding the non-cutting of hedges and grass areas as some of the overgrown hedges are preventing drivers from seeing on-coming traffic. The grass edges are no longer cut back as far as before and therefore need cutting twice as many times.P.C. Bassham replied that possibly a back up letter to Highways could be approved and he would do what he could.
