2620 MINUTES
Of the parish council meeting
held on
Mr.
Braithewaite stated that the lift purchased for disabled persons, had not been
used in 6months. It has therefore been moved to another room.
Church
Maintenance. (Minute 2610)
Difficulty in obtaining further quotations. Today a Mr. Telford (recommended
by Clerk of Old Catton) has been in contact and a meeting has been arranged on
Tuesday 8th March at 9.a.m. Mrs Rose, Mrs Butler and Mr. Murphy to
attend. Mrs Hall to be notified.
Mr.
Ward (our third option) has been contacted but indirectly, to ring back.
Traffic
– The Street.
To request a further “minute man” check in July, to be placed outside the
Library.
Also prices for “optic lights” as seen in Thorpe End.
Mr.
Sowerby had previously pointed out that the minutes of 18th January omitted to
state that P.C. Marshall had promised to monitor the speed of traffic on The
Old Yarmouth Road.
This
item covers the omission and P.C. Marshall has been reminded.
Kings Head Car Park (Minute
2610)
Negotiations
are still in progress hopefully work should begin March There are large holes
in the highway in front of Car Park entrance.
Bus Shelters. (Minute 2610)
Clerk to contact Venture
Scouts who have decorated these before in exchange for a donation to their
funds.
Alternatively if not
available contact Stealth Explorer Unit, who are seeking funds.
Society of Local Council Clerks.
Clerk stated that she had
been unable to attend the Training session held at Sheringham on March 26th.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Updated brochures had been
received and Mrs Rose explained to Mr. C. Mowle our involvement with the
project.
Mrs. Rose stated that
approaches had been made regarding housing for single/divorced males. There
appears that there is nothing for males in this situation.
