Minutes of the meeting of Blofield Parish Council held on Tuesday 27th September 2005 in Margaret Harker Hall at 7.30p.m.

 

2700 PRESENT

Mr. D. Ward (Chairman), Mr. Sowerby (Vice Chairman) Mrs. S. Rose, Mrs. Butler, Mrs. Perry, Mrs Wilson, Mr. Pilch, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Clabburn  and Mrs D.R.Wyatt (Clerk.)  Several parishioners also in attendance.

 

Chairman welcomed Councillors and members of the public.

2703 OPEN FORUM

“Suspend Standing Orders”

Mrs. Sue Larson reported that the Play area fund currently stands at £9776.06 with four more events planned for this year to hopefully increase this further. There has been a gradual increase in Community Involvement which is very pleasing and thanks to all who have helped with the projects.

2704 MINUTES

The minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on 16th August 2005 were agreed to be a true record. Chairman duly signed.  Unanimous decision.

 

2705 MATTERS ARISING

 

Parking in the Street (Minute 2691)

Letter received from New Market Residentials re Estate Agents and Kimi’s hairdressing, which was read to Council and it was agreed that this would be put on hold until work finished.

 

Casual Vacancy for a Councillor (Minute 2693)

Clerk was informed by Broadland District Council that we should have twelve councillors so Mrs. P. Wilson was duly co-opted to fill the vacancy. Proposed by Mr. Buffini and seconded by Mrs. Dawson. Unanimous decision.

 

Faculty Report (Minute 2693)

Papers are now with the Clerk to forward to the Church together with relevant paperwork.

 

Churchyard Maintenance (Minute 2693)

Grass cutting – contract renewal.

The elected Committee has not met as such but areas to be decided and marked on a plan for ease of quoting and future changes.

 

Footpath from the old Yarmouth Road through to the Church.(Minute 2693)

Problem now resolved. No further action required

2710 ANY OTHER BUSINESS – FUTURE ITEMS FOR AGENDA

 

                        Request from Blofield Heath Post Office Stores to move Dog litter bin from outside to Francis Lane.

                        Proposed by Mrs. Rose and seconded Mr. Pilch.

                        Chairman asked if there was anybody present willing to take on the School Governor’s position as owing to             his workload he felt he was not attending as regularly as was required.

                        There were no offers forthcoming.

                        Conversation regard access of properties and parking in Church Road.

                        Request for something to be done about dropped kerbs in Mill Road and hedging Allens Close.

                        Chairman requested details to be given to him and he would forward these to the correct authorities.

 

Next meeting date November 8th at Heathlands at 7.30pm.
