Minutes of the Blofield Parish Council meeting held on Tuesday 8th January 2008 in HEATHLANDS COMMUNITY CENTRE at 7.30 pm.

 

3124    COUNCILLORS PRESENT  Mr. D. C. Ward,.(Chairman), Mr. M. Tetlow, Vice Chairman , Mrs. J. Perry, Mrs G. Butler, Mrs. B. Dawson, Mrs. L. Copping, Dr. D. Pilch Mr. J.Marney,. Mr. B. Murphy. Mrs. P. Wilson and Mrs. S. Toothill.

Mrs. D.R.Wyatt.(Clerk) was also present.

 

3125    APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

 Mrs. S.Larson.and Norfolk Constabulary.

 

3126    DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

            Mr. M.Tetlow, and Mrs. P. Wilson declared personal interest in Item 12  as part of                   Management team.

3128    MINUTES OF LAST MEETING

Minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on  20th November 2007 and Planning meeting of the same date, were agreed as true reports.  Proposed  Mrs G.Butler and seconded Mr.M.Tetlow, who then signed them off.

           

3129    CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

            None

 

3130    BLOFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL.

            Verbal report of continuing meetings with Traffic Officers and project is progressing.

 

3131    BANKING ARRANGEMENTS

            Barclays Bank states, still awaiting signature for D.Ward. Chairman to check this.

 

3132    HIGHWAY MATTERS

      Hedgerows reported to Department have gradually been trimmed as weather has           allowed.

 

3133    EXPENDITURE

            Cheques approved but unfortunately these could not be signed because of signature       changes delayed at Bank.

            Balances were presented and approved and also the Precept after much discussion was             approved at £26524.68 an increase of 4%

 

3134    BLOFIELD COURTHOUSE – ROOF REPAIRS

            Clerk to chase.

3136.   COUNCILLORS INPUT.

Various items were discussed, including:-

·        Donation on the retirement of Mrs.A.Mills from the Courthouse Management Committee.

·         Globe Lane, road widening for service vehicles.

·        Changes to the Annual Parish Meeting to encourage more residents to attend

·        Permission sought from Norfolk County Council to plant Oak Tree.

·        Mobile Home advertising on Yarmouth Road.

           

3137    Date of next meeting was confirmed as 19th February 2008 in Heathlands at 7.30pm

 

            Chairman thanked all for coming and closed the meeting at 9.10pm.
