Meeting of  Blofield Parish Council, Finance Committee held on Tuesday 8th July 2008 in the Blofield Courthouse  at 8.00pm.

 

 

3229     PRESENT

               Mr.M.Tetlow (Chairman), Mrs. G. Butler,  (Vice Chairman) Mrs P Wilson, Mrs. J. Perry,   Mr.J.Marney, Mrs B.Dawson, Mr. B.Murphy ..Clerk  Mrs. D.R.Wyatt was also present. One        public member only.

3230     TO ACCEPT APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

            Apologies were received and accepted from Mrs. L. Copping, Dr. D.Pilch and Mrs. S. Toothill.

 

3231     DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST ( Items on the Agenda only)

            There were no declarations.

 

3232     FINANCIAL PAPERS

            Previously circulated  for councillors to study. There were no questions.

 

3233     FINANCIAL CONTROLS.

            Are our Financial Controls adequate?

            We will review the Financial Orders in the near future to see if there is room for improvement.

 

3234     REVIEW SYSTEM OF INTERNAL CONTROL.

            The Risk Assessment was discussed and it was agreed that our paperwork would be brought into line.

 

3235.   DISCUSSION OF PREVIOUS INTERNAL AUDITORS REPORT.

            None received at this point.

           

3236     STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT.-Read by the Clerk.

            Items 1-11 read to Council – Item 11 does not apply because it applies to Trust monies. Blofield has none. Clerk to supply copy of asset list as requested by Council.     

 

3237    ANNUAL GOVERNANCE STATEMENT.- Read by the Clerk.

            Annual Governance Statement was read to the Council  and it was agreed that all be accepted and the Council, requested that the Chairman sign the Accounts for 2007/2008, which was duly carried out.

           

            The business being concluded, Chairman thanked all for coming and closed the meeting at 9.20pm.
